Embraer Delivery Specialist

Aircraft Test Flight and Inspections Services

Global Aircraft Consulting has been involved with Embraer’s Executive fleet since inception. We specialize in helping owners take delivery of their newly acquired aircraft from the beginning to the end. We research the needs of the owner and determine exactly what the planned mission is and then recommend an aircraft. We stand along side the client from months before the decision of which aircraft to buy, help with negotiations, contract signing, test flights, and interior/exterior inspections and the final process of the closing process. There are a timeline of events that must take place prior to the acquisition to insure a smooth transition of ownership. GAC has developed proprietary checklist that enables us to perform a detailed and accurate inspection with nothing left out. We can’t guarantee that there won’t be problems that could cause a delay in ownership but we can guarantee that the process will make sense and if there is an unforeseen delay that it will generally be in the best interest of the new owner!

Test Flights

The first day of the acquisition process is started with a briefing by the Embraer test pilots and then a test flight is performed. This is a critical phase of the process in order to insure the aircraft operates correctly. Russ Bird or his qualified associate will be onboard or Russ may personally fly the aircraft along with the Embraer pilot representative. All systems are tested to insure that not only the aircraft is mechanically safe but everything on board works as advertised.

Monitoring engine start to verify that both engines are within parameters during the start.

The Phenom 300 takeoff is a great opportunity to see the engine parameter at maximum thrust and verify that both engines are in sync.  These aircraft have a state-of-the-art FADEC (short for Full Authority Digital Engine Control) system controlling the engines the way it should during all phases of flight. The FADEC is the heartbeat of the engine operation!

This video was taken during an actual landing of a Phenom 300.  The brakes are applied at maximum braking.  Two tests are accomplished, one-to verify the performance of the brakes and two- ensure that the anti-skid works as advertised.  A coupled approach is performed with the autopilot on.  I am monitoring the sequence of events that should be happening during the approach and then we make a missed approach with the autopilot connected to ensure all systems are working with the missed approach go-around system.

    Inspection Services

The paint and interior inspections start the minute I lay my eyes on the aircraft but the intense inspection starts immediately after the test flight. GAC will perform an extremely detailed inspection of the exterior access panels and doors, control services, engine cowlings and aircraft paint detail along with interior items.  We are checking to make sure everything works and looks perfect. We generally have two people doing the exterior and interior inspection to make sure nothing is missed.

Problems will be found! Once these problems are identified, they are numbered and recorded by the Embraer aircraft delivery specialist. Once the report has been completed the incredible team of Embraer engineers and maintenance personnel address the problems found. They work on the problems and then our inspection team re-inspects each problem.  This is called the buy-back portion of the inspection process. We all work together to insure the new aircraft is perfect before it’s presented to the proud owner. We would like to think that every aircraft is perfect once it comes off the assembly line and typically it is but our job is to insure that it is. Your best insurance is to hire a representative not associated with the manufacturer to personally inspect your aircraft!

There are some detailed inspection photos on the Embraer aircraft page of the website.   All of these photos are shared with you at the end of the delivery. I also use a proprietary spreadsheet with a checklist and it also includes a record of all accounts needed to bring the aircraft into service.

Feel free to browse the delivery photos in the Embraer aircraft page.

Classic example of some of the smiles that you will encounter at the Melbourne delivery center! This gentleman’s name is Cooper!

Seamless transition from purchase to operation.

Navigating the delivery process of your Phenom aircraft requires precision, expertise, and a deep understanding of the intricacies involved. As your Phenom Delivery Specialist, we ensure a seamless transition from purchase to operation, handling every detail with care and professionalism.

What is the difference in hiring maintenance personnel that work on the aircraft and the team at Global Aircraft Consulting for your delivery?

The team of maintenance personnel that work on these aircraft are truly amazing.  I have a great relationship and respect for the maintenance professionals that are daily troubleshooting and repairing these amazing Embraer aircraft. Embraer has a network of support throughout the world that is also incredibly great.

        The difference is this.

If you need someone that has been not only working with the Embraer troubleshooting and repair team since 2010 but personally flying the Phenom 100s and 300s since 2010 and the Legacy/Praetor 450/500/600 since 2015 then you need to choose Global Aircraft for your delivery service. I go to the Flight Safety school every 6 months on the Legacy/Praetor aircraft and to CAE annually on the Phenom 300. I am also an instructor/mentor pilot for the new pilots that are taking delivery of the aircraft. We continue to support all operations for our clients including contract pilot scenarios.  We can deliver the aircraft to the home base and teach the pilots the best practices of operating the aircraft. The Flight safety team does an amazing job of teaching the guys and girls how to fly and achieve an FAA approved type rating but they do not have the time to talk about the real time events and strategies that it takes to safely travel from point A to point B.  Global Aircraft digs deep into the operation with the crew to ensure.

“BBR Air – Billy Austin Delivery 2015, I had the pleasure of working with a gentleman during a delivery in São José dos Campos, Brazil. All of the deliveries were performed in Brazil because Melbourne, Florida was established but not yet ready to start the delivery process. I have to share this slide show to show you a bit of the process, the warmth of the people in Brazil and the celebration that follows. The gentleman’s name is Billy Austin. Billy is one one my very best friends to this day. We flew the aircraft back to the USA together and did many flights thereafter. Please enjoy!”
